Barts Electric talks a lot about building people. What have you seen of that since you’ve started here? Well, I’m a team-oriented person. You know, I grew up playing multiple sports. I feel the camaraderie between everybody here within the company. Now, are we going to have our fits every once in a while? Yeah, we will. But what’s really taken me back is that it is truly family-oriented here. I’m not just saying that for face; I truly feel that. I really enjoy it.

I came from a multi-tiered company just like Barts Electric previously, but they were a 700 million dollar company. So the family orientation kind of disperses within that aspect. But I feel that Bart and Brett and the rest of the group that have been here forever have a good structure in place to allow everybody to feel part of something, rather than just a body that’s replaceable. That’s been the biggest niche for me—just walking in, everybody knows your name. They greet you, whether they’re having a bad day or not. It doesn’t matter; it’s still family. They give you some flack here and there, joking, and it’s a good place to come to work, honestly.
