In the dynamic world of electrical construction, finding the right balance between hands-on experience and effective training is crucial. Barts Electric, a leading national electrical construction contractor, understands this challenge and has developed an empowering approach to prepare electricians for success in the field.

No Foreman Pressure, Just Performance

One unique aspect appreciated by electricians at Barts Electric is the absence of the typical foreman pressure. In a recent video testimonial, an experienced electrician highlighted the relief of not having the added burden of a foreman constantly overseeing their work. Instead, the focus is on individual performance and the commitment to getting the job done efficiently.

Showcasing Skills: A Fast Track to Responsibility

At Barts Electric, there’s a recognition that time is a precious commodity, especially when it comes to training new team members. The testimonial underscores the value of electricians showcasing their skills from the outset. If you’re a seasoned electrician who can confidently say, “I can run pipe, pull wire, and make up a switch,” Barts Electric is ready to put your skills to the test.

Training with a Purpose

The overarching goal of training at Barts Electric is to ensure that every individual who passes through their program is field-ready. Whether you’re an aspiring electrician or an experienced journeyman, the emphasis is on being prepared for the challenges of the job. The commitment to thorough training is evident in the expectation that every individual is not just competent but excels in their role.

Always Hiring: Opportunities for Apprentices and Journeymen

For those looking to join the Barts Electric family, the good news is that they are always on the lookout for new talent. Whether you are a budding electrical apprentice eager to learn the ropes or an experienced journeyman seeking a new opportunity, Barts Electric welcomes you.

Proactive Approach: Taking Charge of Your Career

One of the key takeaways from the testimonial is the advice given to new hires. As soon as you step into the field, take charge of your career. Find the person in charge, introduce yourself, showcase your skills, and express your willingness to contribute to the team’s success. Barts Electric values individuals who take the initiative and are serious about their work.

David’s Perspective: Taking Ownership of Your Success

The testimonial also echoes the sentiments of David, emphasizing the importance of personal initiative. Taking charge of your training and career development is a common theme at Barts Electric. Being proactive and demonstrating dedication to the job is not only encouraged but celebrated.

In conclusion, Barts Electric is not just a company; it’s a community that values the skills, dedication, and initiative of its electricians. If you’re ready to embark on a fulfilling journey in the electrical construction industry or take your career to new heights, Barts Electric is the place to be. The other thing I like about this is, you don’t have the pressure of a foreman. The performance got the pressure, getting the job done instead of having to train. You, which a lot of times they don’t have the time to train you if you show up and say, “Hey, I’ve been passed off on. I can run pipe, I can pull wire, and make up a switch. Oh, I got just that thing. Go wire up the super tennis trailer or whatever.” The whole purpose of training is to have him and everybody that comes through here ready, ready when they get to the field.

The first thing I tell them all, “Go find the guy running the job. There’s going to be a lot of underforming. I want you to find the guy running the job, introduce who you are, tell him what you can do, and ask him what he has for you or how can you help the job, right?” Every time I’ve seen you’ve been working, you’re serious about what you’re doing. You’re serious about the job. So, it’s good to hear what David’s saying because David’s saying, “You’re going to take charge of all of this, and you’re going to get it working for your own personal initiative. You know, ‘Hey, I’m going to get thrown in battle here in a few weeks, and I want to be an asset to the team. I’ll be ready for whatever they got for me.’”
