That’s what I want at Barts Electric. I want an opportunity for everyone. I want, if they want to be the president of the company, if they want to be an owner, if they want to start their own company, whatever it might be, I want to help them get there. That’s my goal for my employees – we all win together.

You were really intrigued with intellectual opportunities, your mind learning stuff. You know, kind of like you were saying about your cleaning business. “Hey, I could learn that in short order,” and there are no surprises there.

You made me think, I wonder how many guys or ladies that are thinking about an electrical career really think about how intellectually challenging it is. I’ve heard this from 50-year-old men who are in this career and have been literally doing this since they were 16 years old, pulling a wire. They say things like, “One of the things I love about the electrical trade is I learn something new all the time. Even though I’ve been doing this for 30-40 years, there are still intellectually stimulating things about this career that you can’t get in many other jobs.”

No, and especially with the NEC changing every three years too, you’ve got to stay on your toes for that kind of thing.
