You know, we’re sitting in here, and our company is working 400,000 hours this year in the field. That means, right now, in this hour meeting, there’s going to be 200 hours performed in the field that we don’t know anything about. We don’t know how bad it is; we don’t know when you get rained on; we don’t know when it gets hot; we don’t know when the shovel breaks; we don’t know when the fish tape won’t go through. All those things you guys are going through, we are not experiencing those.

We want you to see that we’re aware of those things and that we’re aware of you and all the good and bad that goes throughout your day. We want you to know that we really care about you; you’re important to us, and you’re valuable. Every person that we hire, we want you to be able to brand, and you said that. We want you to be able to set goals and say, “You know what? I set a goal along with Barts Electric’s goals. I’ve graduated now.” And then you start seeing, “Hey, what’s my next goal?”

We have an opportunity. If you want Sean’s job or Brian’s job or Steve Wiedemeyer’s job, we set the path for you guys to get there. That’s what we want from every employee. We would love to have 200 Steve Wiedemeyers, so that we have 1,000 employees underneath him that are in training. So, the only way we grow as a company is when our people grow.
